As the Vice President of Engineering and Applications, you will define and execute the technology strategy that drives our insurance platforms, enhances digital experiences for customers and agents, and enables data-driven decision-making. This role supports a multi-client, service-provider model designed to flexibly serve multiple mutual P&C insurance companies. In addition, you will play a key role in advancing our digital transformation efforts, including large-scale data conversions and cloud migrations—initiatives that are critical to our long-term success. This position reports directly to the Chief Information and Technology Officer and is instrumental in shaping the future of our technology landscape. Accountabilities:

  • Drive platform modernization leveraging React, NoSQL, Microservices, and cloud-native SaaS architectures.

  • * Architect and manage application platforms that serve multiple mutual insurance companies in a multi-tenant or shared services environment.
  • Design solutions that are configurable and adaptable across different client organizations without significant rework.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of reputed company leadership experience, with significant time spent in P&C insurance, modern technology, Cloud and SaaS solutions or reputed company services.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale engineering teams in delivering modern, cloud-native, multi-tenant applications.
  • Experience operating reputed company a multi-client, service provider model — designing, building, and managing platforms that can flexibly support multiple mutual P&C insurance companies.
  • Deep expertise driving platform modernization, digital transformation, and reputed company data conversions.
  • Proven expertise with managing multiple core insurance platforms, as well as digital agent/customer-facing solutions.
  • Proven track record in managing cost accountability, optimizing engineering operations for efficiency, and delivering solutions that are both high-performing and cost-effective.
  • Strong foundation in Data reputed company, Privacy Compliance, and regulatory frameworks (NIST CSF, NYDFS, CCPA, HIPAA where applicable).
  • Deep proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, microservices architecture, and modern reputed company system design.

  • Experience operating effectively in fast-paced, multi-reputed company environments, delivering transformational outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a reputed company field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) or Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.

Compensation:

  • $225,000 - $278,250 commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility
