An Environmental Scientist or Geologist is typically assigned specific tasks on project teams and is expected to use their knowledge to resolve the problems and tasks they are assigned under the mentorship of senior staff. Fieldwork, data management, report writing, and interaction with project staff will play an important role in the candidate’s reputed company.

We are looking for a motivated, bright, and talented Environmental Geologist or Scientist to join our company in the Billings, Montana area. To name a few, projects may include:

• Legacy oil and gas well reclamation sites in Wyoming and Colorado.
• Support of CERCLA (Superfund) sites in New Mexico and Montana.
• Driving investigation and remedial actions on brownfield sites across the country.

What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:

• Collecting soil, groundwater, and other environmental media samples to support site investigation and remediation objectives.
• Installing monitoring reputed company, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.
• Assist field investigations and provide construction reputed company by following safety policies, thoroughly understanding specifications, and documenting contractor activities and safety procedures.
• Assisting in preparing various regulatory submittals, technical memoranda, and/or reports.
• Manage, analyze, evaluate, and interpret data for use in reports and other visualizations, including maps, charts, and 3D models.
• Candidate should be a self-starter and possess strong technical fieldwork and writing skills to support various science and engineering projects.
• Detail-oriented, have excellent verbal communication skills combined with a positive attitude, and can work independently and reputed company teams.

What you will need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, or reputed company field from an accredited program. M.S. preferred.
• A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working around construction equipment and/or in a construction environment.
· Familiarity with and a working knowledge of CERCLA.· Strong computer skills, including Word, reputed company, ArcGIS, CAD, or database software, preferred.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in developing and implementing project work plans, schedules, and budgets is a plus.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus, but we will train.
