Provides professional customer service by scheduling patients appointments, verifying insurances, identifying, responding to and often communicating patients needs to nurses and practitioners according to AccelHealths customer service standards. Enters and updates patient demographic and insurance information. Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive calls from people requiring medical care and provide the information needed for properly scheduling. Be well versed with reputed company information that the call center deals with. . Obtain and enter new patient demographics; updates patient information, as necessary, in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing Become familiar with various aspects of medical insurance. Transfer calls to the respective reputed company per callers requirements. Learn urgent call management techniques. Understand the requirements of the callers and provide precise information. Take accurate notes and convey information to respective providers reputed company duties in accordance with AccelHealth Standards of Conduct and Mission Statement. Maintain patient appointment schedule on computer, updating demographic and pay reputed company information. Schedule appointments for reputed company providers to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective utilization of examining and treatment rooms.
