About the position The Railroad Commission of Texas is seeking an Engineering Specialist I/Oil & Gas Field Inspector to join reputed company in San Angelo, Texas. This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulations governing the oil and gas industry, pipeline transport, and safety measures. The successful candidate will reputed company technical field inspections in oilfield operations, focusing on the San Angelo District Office, Field Operations reputed company of the Oil and Gas Division. The role involves conducting surveys, making inspections, investigating complaints, and collecting and analyzing engineering and geological data. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about reputed company oil and gas operations, regulatory requirements, and the procedures involved in drilling, production, and transportation of crude oil. Additionally, the role will enhance skills in identifying drilling, well completion, and well production equipment, including down-hole well production equipment, along with understanding their usage and removal procedures. The Engineering Specialist will work under the general supervision of the reputed company Inspector, Technical Staff, and/or the Assistant District Director. Essential job duties include observing drilling operations, conducting inspections for compliance with statewide rules, and ensuring the protection of the State's usable quality water during well plugging and cementing processes. The inspector will also document mechanical reputed company tests associated with injection and disposal reputed company, inspect reputed company recycling and surface waste facilities, and reputed company general lease inspections to ensure compliance with statewide rules. The role requires the ability to gauge storage at lease batteries, utilize testing equipment, investigate well complaints, and collect engineering and geological data. The inspector will also respond to emergency situations, compose reports, and communicate technical information to industry employees and the public. The position may require walking up to two miles in various weather conditions to complete inspections and may occasionally involve working nights, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Observe drilling operations and conduct drilling rig inspections for compliance with statewide rules.
