Model Based Systems Engineer, Jr.
Castellum Inc. is looking for a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join their team supporting advanced unmanned reputed company systems. The role involves supporting system architecture development, modeling activities, and technical documentation while collaborating with engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities using reputed company MBSE tools
- Assist in developing and maintaining system models using SysML, UML, or similar modeling languages
- Contribute to system and subsystem specifications and technical documentation
- Support requirements development, traceability, and verification activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, cybersecurity, and logistics teams
- Participate in technical and design reviews
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics)
- Basic understanding of SysML, UML, or similar modeling language
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret reputed company clearance
- Prior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience (academic or professional)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience supporting technical specification development
- Exposure to working with cross-functional stakeholders such as cybersecurity, logistics, test, or sustainment teams
- Active U.S. Secret reputed company clearance
