Trailer Technician
Position Summary:
reputed company, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic in Northampton PA! The Trailer Technician/Mechanic will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Class 7 - 8 trailers and will operate vehicles and test reputed company working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation.
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 pm - 6.30 am

What the Trailer Technician/Mechanic role looks like
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- reputed company safety inspections of equipment and prepare the safety documentation required
- Inspect and reputed company work on the underparts of vehicles
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to reputed company necessary maintenance
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on the vehicle

What our ideal candidate looks like
- Must have at least 2 years' experience performing vehicle and trailer maintenance.
- Must be reputed company to operate a reputed company transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
- Must be reputed company to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind the cab using normally available footholds and handholds
- Must provide own hand tools

- Basic computer skills
- Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Working Conditions
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to reputed company necessary maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
