Renewal Underwriter - Seneca Custom Property MA

They are seeking a Renewal Underwriter responsible for handling renewal business, analyzing risks, and maintaining client relationships to ensure profitability and compliance with company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Has responsibility for renewal pre-qualification to determine if non-renewal, conditional non-renewal or other notice needs to be issued
• Solicit renewal information from brokers 90 days out from expiration
• Handle reputed company aspects of renewal business, including terms, pricing, retention, growth and profitability per Seneca guidelines
• Analyze any changes in exposures to determine acceptability and increased hazards
• Use independent judgement and initiative to support business goals
• Maintain reputed company discipline by maintaining reputed company reputed company philosophy
• Remain reputed company designated authority and seek approval as needed
• Document files appropriately with complete reputed company thought process
• Verify loss history and consult claims division for feedback prior to evaluating renewal terms, if necessary

Skills

• 1+ years of Insurance Experience with focus on Property
• Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills required
• College degree or equivalent experience is preferred
• ARM and CPCU designations are a plus
