Information Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities reputed company is seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to support a DFAS financial program. In this role the candidate will be responsible for the following (but not limited too): This is a Part time casual/on-call.

• Assisting the DFAS team is conducting IA support, reviewing RMF controls, assisting DFAS in obtaining ATO approval, and providing tasks as requested and assigned by the DFAS reputed company team to reputed company ATO.
• Provides technical and programmatic information assurance services to internal and external customers in support of network and information reputed company systems.
• Designs, develops, and implements reputed company requirements reputed company an organization’s business processes. Prepares documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines. Prepares reputed company test and evaluation plans.
• Provides certification and accreditation support in the development of reputed company and contingency plans and conducts reputed company risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps. Recommends system enhancements to improve reputed company deficiencies.
• Develops, tests, and integrates computer and network reputed company tools. Secures system configurations and installs reputed company tools, scans systems to determine compliancy and report results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration.
• Conducts reputed company program audits and develops solutions to lessen identified risks.
• Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of reputed company architectures to meet new and evolving reputed company requirements.
• Provides assistance in computer incident investigations.
• Performs vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• HS diploma with 3 years of experience
• Must be a US citizen
• reputed company to obtain Public Trust
• Strong experience with DFAS financial processes and RFM procedures are required. Transfer protocols of FTP, SFTP, and Direct connect file transfers are also required.
• Exposure to Mainframe solutions
• reputed company product skills including Windows, Outlook, reputed company and familiarity with RMF and ATO documentation processes.

This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to reputed company pay.
