CNC Operator I - 3rd shift - Now Hiring
Job Type Full-time Description OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator I who will operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to reputed company sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be reputed company. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
- Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
- Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
- Operates lift equipment as needed
- Uses precision measuring tools as required
- Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
- Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
- Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections
- Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department reputed company
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Completes reputed company necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic understanding of machining principles and CNC machine operations
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in CNC machining
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required
- Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
