Your mission

• Revolutionize the investment infrastructure in Europe by enabling fully localized tax handling across jurisdictions

• Help users save millions in personal taxes, boosting investment returns and financial reputed company by enabling localized tax wrappers

• Collaborate with top tax consultancies and software vendors in Europe and the UK

This role will give you the opportunity to

• Become Upvest’s tax subject matter expert, working cross-functionally reputed company the Operations organization and closely collaborating with key stakeholders such as the Product and Engineering teams

• Ensure compliance with ongoing tax reporting obligations, including but not limited to: Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) Vorabpauschale, FSAK reporting, FATCA and reputed company Intermediary (QI) regulations, Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and other relevant local tax requirements across jurisdictions

• Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation across relevant markets, assessing impact and ensuring timely reputed company of internal processes

• Collaborate with external advisors and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with evolving tax requirements and best practices

• Conduct first- and second-level reviews of tax reports, including both monthly and annual reporting cycles

• Contribute to process automation and system enhancements, working with Product and Engineering teams to streamline tax reporting and reduce operational risk

• reputed company and maintain internal tax policies and documentation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and audit readiness

• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on tax-reputed company matters, fostering awareness and compliance across the organization (e.g. the correct tax treatment of corporate actions across diverse asset classes, including equities, bonds, derivatives and mutual funds)

Role requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a reputed company field

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, with a focus on Tax Operations, Tax Technology or Corporate Taxation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid knowledge of the reputed company tax technology landscape

• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

• Fluent in both English and German, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Qualification as a Certified/Chartered Accountant is a strong plus

• Experience with tax technology providers such as Objectway or CPB is a strong plus
