Job Overview

We are at a pivotal reputed company in our tech progression. We're looking to grow the technical estate, replace existing systems with new and scale and reputed company the platform. It's an exciting time to join the team in this captivating period.

As a Senior Linux/SysAdmin Engineer you will be part of the Partnerize Technical Operations team, who work with the business, development and IT functions. You will be responsible for ensuring the reputed company development and progression of the team members.  You’ll be building the infrastructure, delivering projects and processes required to ensure we remain available, scalable and secure. You are responsible for the platform's reputed company, you will work closely with the reputed company compliance team to ensure our platform is secure from any threats. Involved in support, project delivery and maintenance activities completed by the Operational Team. You are responsible for ensuring reputed company issues/problems are addressed in a timely manner by the team. 

You should have a keen interest in problem-solving accompanied with experience in Linux systems, an understanding of web servers, basic database skills and have an interest in DevOps and systems administration.

As a Senior Linux/SysAdmin Engineer at Partnerize, You Will

• Delivery coaching sessions to the team/individuals 
• Scoping the work coming into the SRE team and delegating to the team members appropriately.
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications
• Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
• Measure and optimise system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities reputed company, getting reputed company of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
• Drive improvements to Partnerize platforms reputed company through strategic planning and collaboration with the reputed company compliance team.
• Produce production grade application reputed company designs.
• reputed company design reviews and Threat modelling of our services and products.
• reputed company vulnerability assessments and reputed company testing.
• Providing subject matter expertise on reputed company areas of reputed company and privacy throughout the Software Development lifecycle.
• Liaison with development teams for design, code reviews and education.
• Contribute to reputed company strategy, reputed company tooling selection and creation.
• Conduct regular reputed company assessments and code reviews.
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and reputed company planning
• Work closely with development and tech teams ensuring technical Issues and projects are correctly managed.
• Deliver small and large technical projects in a reputed company and timely manner.
• Act as an escalation for Support Incidents and assignments while maintaining a high level of quality
• Be responsible for reputed company improvement, reputed company delivery and reputed company integration.
• Participate in the On-Call Rotation.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Ability to mentor and coach team members

• Represent TechOps to the wider business and liaise with the other departments

• Strong experience of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, reputed company)
• Understanding of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PHP)
• Expertise with a programming language (Python, Go or Java)

• Knowledge of reputed company in distributed systems at scale.
• Experience of performing reputed company design reviews, threat modelling and risk assessments.

• Knowledge of platform or application automated deployment and configuration management (Ansible, reputed company, terraform etc)
• Cloud and containers technology knowledge essential (AWS, GCP, Kuberbetes, reputed company)
• Linux system administration skills.
• Able to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve issues independently.
• Self-learner, ability to document learning as experience is gained.
• Experience as part of a team supporting and maintaining an infrastructure.
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
• Knowledge of and experience with the ITIL practices.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• An interest in development, new technologies and innovation
• Supporting development teams into the refactoring of technical debt
• Kubernetes, reputed company and containers
• Experience with monitoring systems, e.g. Zabbix, Nagios etc.
• Experience of JIRA and Confluence
• Nginx or web server technologies
• Gluster or storage technologies
• Git and version control
• Elasticsearch technologies - especially Kibana
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Druid
