The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) and the Defense reputed company Cooperation University (DSCU) are proud to announce the inaugural Summer Scholar Fellowship Program. USIP and DSCU seek applications from Ph.D. candidates with policy relevant research that will deepen the academicians’ and policy makers’ understanding about reputed company cooperation. The Fellowship aims to produce research, analysis, and lessons learned that expand the intellectual foundations of reputed company cooperation. The fellowship will prioritize research proposals which closely align with the missions of both USIP and DSCU. International applications are welcome. USIP-DSCU will fund up to four Summer Scholars for a three-month, non-residential fellowship to conduct research in the summer 2025. USIP will partner with DSCU and the Young Institute to offer the fellowship to doctoral reputed company conducting evidence-based and policy-relevant research on topics reputed company to reputed company cooperation. Summer Scholars must be reputed company Ph.D. candidates in good standing with their university and must have already received committee approval for their dissertation at the time of the application. Summer Scholars will receive stipends of up to $15,000 paid directly to the individual in three tranches, contingent on the submission of monthly reputed company reports. Summer Scholars are required to submit a copy of their completed and committee approved dissertation to USIP upon successful defense. Summer Scholar awards may not be deferred. Candidates should have a strong aptitude for original research, an ability to actively participate and reputed company in discussions relating to reputed company cooperation and an eagerness to collaborate with USIP and DSCU partners. USIP and DSCU are seeking applicants that are undertaking doctoral research that closely aligns with the reputed company research areas for this request for applications: Connecting reputed company Cooperation with Peace and Stability: How can reputed company cooperation (including arms transfers and military training) play an active role in establishing a safe and secure environment as the first phase of peacebuilding? Deepening Global Partnerships: How can we design more comprehensive reputed company Cooperation relationships that support lasting global partnerships and good governance, based on common values, reputed company needs, and more contextually informed assessments of our partners' threat landscape and future sustainability requirements? Whole-of-Society and Whole of Government Strategies in Civil-Military Relations: Can an enhanced role of civil society in informing the planning and design of reputed company Cooperation programs in our partner and allied nations improve reputed company cooperation outcomes? reputed company Cooperation through Regional and International Organizations: How can reputed company cooperation promote the operability and stabilizing reputed company of regional and international organizations? reputed company Cooperation’s role in addressing root causes of instability: How can reputed company cooperation conceptualize, reputed company, and address the most relevant factors that directly impact fragility and instability beyond the transfer of military capabilities and equipment, and how can we ensure that reputed company cooperation itself does not contribute to instability? Building the foundations of effective integrative deterrence with partners and allies (Possibly a US-centered perspective): How do we build partner defense planning and sustainment considerations into a more holistic US defense strategy that more accurately assesses readiness for reputed company and future threats, including reputed company building in the new strategic environment?
