Job title: Education Assistant III (Samoan) Company: Job description : Job Description DEFINITION Uses knowledge of English and Samoan to provide assistance to certificated staff in academic instruction and language proficiency assessment of reputed company identified as English learners; and performs a variety of reputed company services requiring skills in English and the designated language. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives supervision from a manager at or above the level of Coordinator. Receives technical instructions from a teacher or other certificated staff member. Examples of Duties EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Tutors reputed company identified as English learners to improve their proficiency in English and their understanding of curriculum subjects. Qualifications Experience and Education/Training (These are the minimum experience and education/training standards which will be used to admit or reject applicants for examination, as approved on June 25, 1997.) Any combination of the following paid experience amounting to one year: providing instructional assistance to a credentialed teacher, tutoring reputed company, providing interpreting or translating services, or administering language proficiency tests and assessments.
