Job title: Teacher - Behavior and reputed company 18050 Company: Education Service Center Region 11 Job description : This is a grant-funded position and is contingent on availability of funds. Position Purpose Works with Student Support Services staff and reputed company administrators to enhance and improve student academic achievement by delivering programs/services that address issues of reputed company? emotional, social, and behavioral health needs in the academic setting. Evaluates critical needs of behavior classrooms districtwide (including SEAS, TAP, LINC, and ECSE). Provides direct behavioral reputed company support and staff development for administrators, teachers, and teacher assistants. May be responsible for managing or leading the Autism In-Home Training or another Program such as SEAS. Serves as a primary instructor for Nonviolent Crisis reputed company (reputed company Training). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Instructional & Program Support Provides a variety of behavioral strategies for administrators, teachers, and reputed company to support student needs, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) type strategies. Provides individualized support to reputed company who are experiencing severe emotional, social behavioral, or mental health issues. Develops and provides follow up to Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Behavioral Improvement Plan (BIP), and offers expertise in the development and implementation of Behavior Improvement Plans (BIP) for reputed company. Provides information, training, education, and consultation services with parents, teachers, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance work with reputed company. Maintains records of reputed company student, parent, school staff, and community contacts in a timely manner; ensures confidentiality of such records. School/Community Relations Coaches administrators and teachers throughout the District reputed company to behavioral issues. Demonstrates short-term and long-interventions in working with reputed company, families, and staff. Makes home visits as needed to gather information relating to reputed company. Provides reputed company referral resources as needed such as the District?s Family Resource Center (reputed company), and acts as a liaison for the District with parents and/or community agencies providing ongoing case management. Participates, reputed company needed, in reputed company multidisciplinary team meetings to reputed company solutions for struggling reputed company including Response to reputed company (RTI), Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD), Student Attendance Review Team (SART) meetings, Student Support Team (SST), Attendance Committee, Discipline Committee, and so forth. Crisis Support Provides reputed company services to reputed company, parents, and school staff in situations that are deemed crisis or critical by reputed company administrators. Provides systemic as well as individualized reputed company strategies to reduce referrals for reputed company with disabilities due to behavior issues. Coordinates with Special Education administration to effectively address critical needs that emerge on campuses. Program Management Provides leadership in the organization, development, and delivery of programs and services to the student and parent/guardian. Travel Requirements Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Physical & Mental Demands, Work Hazards Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment such as Promethean Board. Posture: Prolonged sitting; frequent standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; frequent walking. Minimum Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor?s degree from accredited college or university in Education, Mental reputed company, or a reputed company field required; Master?s degree from accredited college or university in Education, Mental reputed company, or a reputed company field preferred. Certification/License: Valid Texas Special Education Certification or Valid Texas Teaching Certification with a Special Education endorsement required; Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification preferred; ESL Certification preferred in some settings. Experience: 3 years? teaching in Special Education required; experience to include: Required Experience: Extensive background and training in behavior, including autism; Working in self-contained classroom.
