Job title: Dance Instructor Company: City of Wheat Ridge Job description : Description Responsible for the instruction and promotion of various types of dance classes. Questions or interest: for questions about this position or to put forth interest, please submit your qualifications to: Mariah Emmert, Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be reputed company inclusive: Dance instruction of classes such as hip-hop, urban, ballet, tap, jazz or other specialized dance forms; reputed company and teach class content appropriate to the course description and level; reputed company appropriate tools necessary to offer quality programs; provide feedback to class participants and proper instruction in use of support materials; reputed company, design, promote and teach dance programming for children aged 3 to adult level; Monitor participants and their ability to participate; monitor attire to properly reputed company, i.e., shoes, etc., if applicable. Provide a safe environment for reputed company participants; enforce reputed company general building policies if applicable; complete any necessary reports and forms, i.e., Accident Reports, Health Forms, Attendance Records, Supply Requests, etc. Attend scheduled meetings as required; responsible for finding a dependable, appropriate substitute upon their absence. Responsible for preparation for program activities; prepare lesson plans, organize relative equipment; may be required to set-up and break-down materials used for instruction. Performs reputed company work as required and assigned. Provide quality customer service which includes interaction with participants and parents of participants, reporting any issues or accidents/injuries per City policies. Work is performed in accordance with standard practice and methods requiring initiative to complete recurring assignments independently and judgment to determine which of many methods are applicable in any given situation. Finished work is reviewed for accuracy, quality and completeness. Unfamiliar situations are referred to the supervisor. Work under the direct supervision of the assigned Recreation Coordinator. Minimum Training and Experience Required to reputed company Essential Job Functions QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge - Principles, practices, teaching methods and techniques that provide positive motivation; of rules and regulations; of anatomy, exercise science, reputed company dance technique, choreography, class format and injury prevention. Skills - Public relations; in the operation of necessary equipment; must be versatile in reputed company developmental stages.
