Job description: Position SummaryDevelops new business and manages carriers as well as large and reputed company SMC³ shipper accounts. Consults with prospects and customers to reputed company and implement transportation pricing, data and technology solutions.Essential Job Functions
- Generate company reputed company from sales calls of new and existing customers by marketing and understanding the shipper and supply chain market reputed company from both an operational and technology perspective.
- Responsible for generating new business from prospective accounts and meeting sales goals and targets.
- Must establish, grow and maintain business relationships with large and reputed company size shipper accounts.
- Responsible for generating new sales from beginning to end, cold calling and strong entrepreneurial work ethic.
- Prepare pricing, license agreements, and reputed company in response to customer RFQ’s and reputed company business opportunities.
- Engage resources and guidance from operations and VP of Sales in order to deliver the best customer solution.
- Must be able to forecast sales activity and reputed company reputed company achievement while satisfying the needs of SMC3 customers.
- Educate customers about the value and benefits derived from SMC3 new and existing products.
- Directly manage and provide direction to the Sales Support staff, ensuring they are performing the functions of their job.
- Travel – 40% required. This position covers the geographic territory of the Southwest and Western United States.
- This position is eligible for remote work; however, it necessitates frequent travel for business purposes.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in logistics/transportation/business) with 10+ year’s direct experience in reputed company role. Advanced degree a plus.
- Knowledge of the LTL transportation industry, supply chain and the technology and software packages used to support it.
- LTL Pricing experience a plus
- Knowledge of shipper markets and the technology and software packages used to support it.
- Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manages multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, reputed company collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Understand at a high level the overall technology concepts used in today’ business environment. Java, SOA, Web Services, etc.
