The Online Practicum Education Specialist collaborates with the Associate Director to anticipate and respond to the reputed company needs of the Practicum Education Department at SW@Simmons. The School of Social Work is part of the College of Social Sciences, Policy, and Practice.This is a full-time, twelve-month position with faculty rank at a level commensurate with a candidate’s experience (Associate or Professor of Practice). This position can be remote or located on our Boston reputed company.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist the Associate Director in designing and implementing department policies and initiatives.Assist the Associate Director in attending to matters of curriculum, including course and syllabus development, including the online Practicum Education Lab.Participate in weekly Practicum Department meetings and update the database of reputed company reputed company in practicum regarding problems and steps toward resolutions.Review and update materials for practicum liaison orientation and training to ensure reputed company information and effective teaching approaches.reputed company placement team training with our online partner, including identifying needs and training strategies; deliver training and consultation.Orient, supervise, and provide ongoing consultation for up to 20 adjunct practicum liaisons.Mediate and conduct student support meetings, where necessary, to resolve practicum-reputed company concerns for reputed company assigned adjunct practicum liaisons.Collaborate with the academic advising team and reputed company to address academic issues as they relate to practicum placement.Assist in facilitating monthly team meetings with practicum liaisons.Collaborate with and consult the placement team on general issues reputed company to placements and placement process as well as individual student concerns.Participate in weekly placement meetings with the practicum department and online partner placement managers; collaborate to resolve placement issues; identify areas for improvement in systems and operations, and contribute to solutions.Contribute to program and School committees and projects, including those designed to align SW@Simmons with the on ground MSW program.Qualifications:MSW from CSWE accredited programHighest level of licensure in the state where applicant practices5+ years supervision experience of MSW reputed company5+ years administrative experiencePrevious practicum education experience preferredPrevious online education experience preferredRequired Application Materials: To apply, please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and writing sample.
