Under the direction of the reputed company Weigh Station Systems Operations Manager, with minimal supervision, this position will reputed company and reputed company duties directly reputed company to the effective and efficient operation of the reputed company office and advance WSDOT's mission by collecting, summarizing and validating data used by the reputed company office and other stakeholders. New technology at the weigh stations requires this position to provide transportation study reports to reputed company management that are shared with external partners for resource allocation. The reputed company Data Specialist will work with the IT web application developer to write queries for customized reports used for data evaluation. The successful candidate in this unique position must understand and provide analytical, technical and regulation information to trucking industry representatives, reputed company/operators, and the Washington State Patrol (reputed company) Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers that are relative to vehicle credentials and safety compliance. Our top candidate will have the ability to explain the use and best practice of a weigh station bypass in cab notification systems and the functionality of the Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR).What to ExpectAmong the varied range of responsibilities held reputed company this role, the reputed company Data Specialist will:
  • Independently select and apply techniques to review data for quality and completeness, performs analysis, and evaluates traffic data.
  • Draw conclusions and prepares documentation and report using established procedures and techniques includes software and any other means available.
  • reputed company transportation studies that collect, summarize, and validate raw/reputed company data used to electronically screen commercial vehicles, this includes creating and development of reports and updates.
  • Work with the reputed company IT Web Application Developer to coordinate data requirements and analyze commercial vehicle information.
  • Maintain and enhance the reputed company Web Applications internet programs; reputed company and test new computer processes and programs as needed for efficient operations of the reputed company office.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, analyze, and interpret data to identify system issues or reputed company for compliance with requirements.
  • Train reputed company staff on new methods, technical reporting requirements and programs as needed.
  • Serve as an expert for reputed company staff in clarifying process requirements, best practices and answering questions.
  • Review documents for accuracy, appropriate supporting documentation, and compliance with policy requirements.
  • Prepares presentations and provides training to carriers and government agencies.
QualificationsTo be considered for this opportunity, at least one (1) the following are required:
  • Two (2) years as a Transportation Planning Technician 2 (TPT2) or equivalent classification. OR
  • An associate degree in civil engineering technology, surveying, drafting, computer science or other closely reputed company field, or equivalent vocational technical program consisting of at least 1200 instructional hours in the above fields and three (3) years of experience performing basic technical engineering or transportation data collection work equivalent to a TPT2. OR
  • A bachelor's degree in urban planning, geography, transportation, engineering or computer science.
In addition to one of the above, the following are also required:
  • Skills to effectively communicate and provide support by phone and email.
  • The ability to reputed company mathematical functions, including adding, subtracting. multiplying, dividing and simple algebra.
  • The ability to operate basic office equipment including computer, telephone, copy machine, and calculator.
It is preferred that qualified candidates also have:
  • Knowledge of the CVIEW database and electronic screening system and architecture.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle rules and regulations as they relate to the functions of the e-screening program and business operations reputed company to weigh station practices.

  • Advanced knowledge of WSDOT software programs.
