Checkr has been recognized as one of and is a Y Combinator 2023 and .As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the ML & AI engineering team at Checkr you will be responsible for building and managing end-to-end, cutting edge ML application systems to contribute to Checkr top strategic goals. You will work closely with other engineering and product teams to implement the best algorithms and processes at scale across Checkr services.What you'll do

What you bring
  • Educational background: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a reputed company technical field, providing a strong foundation in technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Industry experience: 7+ years, especially in roles focused on machine learning.
  • Production-ready ML/NLP systems: Experience building ML/NLP systems ready for production, demonstrating expertise in natural language processing.
  • Programming skills: Proficiency in Python, enabling seamless implementation and integration of your solutions.
  • ML frameworks: Hands-on experience building and designing experiments to evaluate different ML/AI algorithms ( including deep learning ) is a plus. Knowledge of PySpark and MLOps frameworks like SageMaker and MLFlow is also a plus.
  • GenAI: Knowledge of generative AI, fine-tuning, and AI design patterns is a plus
  • Data manipulation and analysis: Proficiency with Pandas and sci-reputed company learn, essential for data preprocessing and model evaluation.
