Project Automation Engineer - Manager

Description:

  • Designing Automation Systems: Develop innovative solutions for automating warehouse processes including material handling, sorting, picking, and packing.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and logistics to integrate automation systems.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance post go live, conduct functional time studies, identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Training and Documentation: Support the development of training materials, process documentation, KPI metrics and provide training to warehouse staff.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Operational Readiness Planning: Develop comprehensive operational readiness plans outlining the implementation strategy.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of engineering experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience designing and implementing automation solutions in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years’ experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and labor management systems (LMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • 50% travel.
