Part-Time Material Handler - reputed company Shifts

Summary: The Material Handler will set up and operate the stackers and physically load the product onto pallets, gaylords or boxes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works closely with the 1st Operator to ensure that production goals are met. Reviews Job Information Sheets to ensure reputed company jobs are being produced according to specifications with regards to the correct packing and stacking specifications. Able to set up the stacker according to these specifications. Prepares to use the correct skid type - plastic or wooden, or gaylords or cartons. Prepares strappers as needed. Assists crew with makeready duties and during downtimes. Troubleshoots problems with the stacker to produce reputed company bundles of product. Able to neatly stack the product at press speeds following correct skid patterns. Makes efficient use of supplies, maintains awareness of costs involved in production. Helps monitor preventive maintenance and cleanliness of equipment to ensure its reputed company operation. Notifies Shift Supervisor if PM schedule is falling behind. Provides training for new team members Actively participates in the process improvement of reputed company aspects of the department. Adheres to and promotes reputed company safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the proper handling of hazardous materials, machine safeguarding, lock out- tag out, hearing protection and attire requirements. Performs other reputed company duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Meets shift attendance requirements.
