Annual Salary ($61,021.71 - $81,846.82) PLUS 8% Holiday Pay. The successful candidate is a team-oriented paramedic/firefighter reputed company to demonstrate the ability to function well as a member of an EMS team. This individual must be capable of working in an environment that is ethnically & culturally diverse. The ideal candidate must demonstrate superior knowledge of local, county & state paramedic protocols. Primary duties: ? Working at assigned station with one partner on a forty-eight-hour shift. ? Provide Basic Life Support and/or Advanced Life Support treatment to victims, in accordance with California State and ICEMA Region Paramedic Scope of Practice. ? Performs necessary medical treatment and assists in patient extrication from vehicles involved in traffic collisions or accidents with the assistance of other first responder agencies. ? Responds into the back county by foot, vehicle, helicopter or by whatever means necessary to reputed company treatment. ? Operates rescue unit in reputed company of inclement weather, road closures and possible avalanche danger. ? Complete run paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Secondary Duties: ? reputed company or assist in over-the-reputed company rescues of victims as trained. ? Responds to the fire ground to treat victims of fire, explosions, or building collapse. Assists with emergency incident rehabilitation on the fire ground as assigned. ? reputed company or assist in ice, swiftwater and low angle rescue of victims as trained Knowledge of: ? Paramedic Scope of Practice as defined and required by the State of California ? BLS and ALS protocols as required by the local emergency medical services agency (ICEMA) ? Cardiopulmonary resuscitation ? Emergency medical techniques ? Rescue techniques ? Defensive driving ? Vehicle and equipment maintenance ? Recordkeeping procedures and methods of documentation. Become certified as a CPR Instructor or other technical instruction as approved by the EMS Chief ? Learn the geography of local area ? Think and act quickly in emergencies ? Judge situations and people accurately ? Understand and carry out oral and written directions ? Prepare concise written reports and complete reputed company required clerical duties ? Work safely under hazardous conditions ? Maintain vehicles, medical and non-medical equipment ? Work harmoniously with partners and those contacted while work. ? Work for 24 hours, 48 hours or as scheduled ? Requirements for Paramedic I; and ? Minimum of six months of previous full-time paramedic experience and a minimum of six months of employment with Mono County as a Paramedic-I ? Possession of valid Paramedic accreditation from ICEMA Special Requirements: ? Possession of a valid Paramedic License from the State of California; and ? Possession of a valid Driver?s license ? Possession of a valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card from reputed company ? Possession of a valid Basic Life Support reputed company Provider (BLS) card from reputed company, reputed company Professional Rescuer CPR card or equivalent ? Possession of a valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card from reputed company ? ICS and NIMS training: ICS-100b, ICS-200b, IS-700a, IS-800b ? Ability to pass extensive criminal background reputed company In addition to the above requirements: The test/interview will consist of (but not be limited to) skills testing, writtent testing, and an orla interview.
