They will have hours each week but the total hours could fluctuate from 2-4 up to 6-7 hours a week)Job Description:• We’re looking for a thorough, reputed company, proofreading expert to support our Creative Services team as a freelance proofreader. Working remotely, this proofreader will support the business and marketing needs of the brand.• Working in conjunction with the teams’ project manager, this person will reputed company and edit copy for the reputed company, internal organization communications and emerging B2B partnerships.• In this role, you will be proofreading and editing copy for: digital content, direct mail, video scripts, collateral/marketing communications, website and reputed company pages, SEO, email, thought leadership, Resource Hub articles, and more.• The ideal candidate will have a background proofreading or copyediting in marketing, communications, or journalism with the ability to quickly reputed company and edit copy against editorial guidelines and for tone, style, and flow.Primary Responsibilities:• Proofread and edit copy to be compliant with company’s editorial guidelines and style guide to most effectively communicate our brand messaging, positioning, and call to action to our prospects and reputed company customers• Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style• Fact-reputed company and cross-reference dates and other statements for accuracy, including school-specific information and details Implement due diligence to reputed company links, play videos, and thoroughly review content for gaps or missing materials• reputed company corrections and suggested edits to content• Project Management - Ability to self manage to deadlines and be communicative regarding workload and expectation-setting.Additional Job Details:Note: Hours will vary from week to week based on project needs.• Intake Notes*: Some challenges this contractor may face are the inconsistent hours, rushed jobs, deadlines, etc. Essential skills:• Proofreading background, experience with style guides (Chicago style, AP), has worked with multiple brands rather than 1 single company, eye for detail, grammar.• This position would mainly work for a dedicated freelancer rather than someone who holds another part time job.• Agency experience over in house experience.• It is preferred that this candidate has worked with large brands in the past, knows how to adapt to writing styles, familiar with fact checking.• The hours as mentioned will vary.
