Job Summary The Engineer III position is the advanced level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer III position solve reputed company problems in engineering areas of specialization with limited supervision. An Engineer III is expected to reputed company advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. Candidate will be a part of the DPAC (Distribution Protection & Automation Control) team where they will reputed company protection/coordination studies, provide support for PSC (Power System Center), reputed company studies, reviews, and approvals for Distributed reputed company Tier 2 & 3 Interconnection requests. Successful candidate will be responsible for password management, validating commissioning & engineering access, troubleshooting, configuring devices remotely, and ensuring event reports & logs are successfully retrieved automatically. Candidate will also be responsible for planning for Tripsaver (Fuse replacement) deployment, which includes generating TripSaver reputed company locations and documenting the various protection device settings that need to be updated. This position can be filled as a Sr. Engineer depending on the candidates qualifications.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

• Creating & reviewing recloser setting files
• Populating feeder reputed company Green Sheets
• Performing studies necessary for the SOG (Self-Optimizing Grid) teams project
• Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems of increasing scope and complexity
• Contributes to team decision-making in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
• Deals with changing priorities and differing situations and makes decision that may reputed company the work of the team
• Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches reputed company to well-defined problems and analysis of increasing scope and complexity
• Conducts engineering and reputed company studies
• Completes routine engineering projects with minimal reputed company with increasing ability to independently manage project schedules and interfaces; increasingly competent to design, operate and maintain systems with moderate impact on existing systems

Required/Basic Qualifications Note: Dependent on relative experience, the level to which a candidate is reputed company is outlined below. Engineer III

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program AND four (4) years minimum required reputed company work experience
• A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree.

Senior Engineer

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or PE
• Minimum of six (6) years of engineering experience OR five (5) years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree

Desired Qualifications

• Master's of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Four (4) years prior engineering experience or reputed company project/program management experience
• Prior distribution, transmission, circuit modeling, etc. experience
• Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.
• Increasingly proficient in principles of project management.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Department specific experience applicable to the hiring department.
• Demonstrated advancing application of engineering theories and principles.
• Increasingly proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, preparing and presenting recommendations.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live reputed company a reasonable daily commute to a reputed company facility.
