CDL-A Local Driver / Forklift Operator, Full-time

Job Description

Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations usually reputed company proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. The loading and unloading of trailers utilizing the same techniques, technology and procedures as a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• reputed company various tasks ranging from reputed company-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor set up, and the pickup and delivery of cargo.
• Exercise independent judgment regarding the building and tearing down of the trailer to utilize time, resources, energy, and physical demands effectively and reputed company, while complying with reputed company weight distribution laws.
• Other duties, as assigned.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Complete routine paperwork effectively, and properly log loading sheets.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma / GED

Experience:

• 1 year of reputed company tractor/trailer experience (Candidates with less than 1 year experience may be eligible for training).

Certifications:

• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements and no automatic restriction

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Good stable work record.
• Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
• Be reputed company to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
• Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends. Being reputed company to work the required hours at this location will be considered a minimum requirement.

Compensation:

• This is a hourly position paid weekly.
