Certified Medical Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
- The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services. May be assigned to specific medical specialty department (e.g., orthopedics).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting. If not yet a reputed company you will receive reputed company hours required for the reputed company exam. Hendrick Clinic will cover the fee for the first exam.
- Minimum Work Experience
- Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office. Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection reputed company experience.
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- Certified Medical Assistant reputed company 26 months of hire
- Must possess a reputed company CPR certification
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures
- Knowledge of specific assisting tasks reputed company to particular medical practice
- Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families
