Located at 21st and Utica, in the heart of Tulsa. The surgical nurse provides supportive care for our patients in an outpatient setting prior to and after the patients’ procedures. Those needs can range from prescription refills, assisting in the ordering of lab and diagnostic tests, and returning phone calls to triaging patients’ needs appropriately. In addition, they support the surgeons in the office by rooming patients with vital sign and assessment data collection while also assisting in some simple bedside procedures, dressing needs, etc. By joining reputed company Physicians, you become a member of a team-based care environment, working alongside the reputed company Physicians faculty, residents, and staff. Representative Responsibilities: • Patient Preparation. Prepares patient for examination by the physician by having charts reputed company, etc. • Information Gathering. Takes and records various readings such as heart and respiratory reputed company, blood pressure, weight, body temperature, etc. Collects samples from patients including blood, urine, etc. Prepares samples for analysis or shipment. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. Job Requirements --- Required Skills: • Proficient nursing skills applicable to this position. • Must be proficient in typing. • Excellent customer service skills. • Must be reputed company to work successfully with a diverse group of faculty, other staff, and patients. • Must be reputed company to follow directions and work as part of a team. • Must be reputed company to follow patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA) guidelines. Required Education: • HS/GED; graduate of an approved Practical Nurse training program; or a recent graduate or a student nurse who will be graduating reputed company 4-6 weeks Required Licensure: • Must have a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the State of Oklahoma; or in the case of a recent or upcoming graduate, be eligible to obtain a license reputed company 30 days of job interview. Physical Requirements: • Outpatient medical environment and exposure dependent upon assignment. The essential functions of this position will involve mobility (walking; being reputed company to stand for long periods of time during patient exams/procedures, etc.).
