Senior Staff Engineer - Finance Data Specialist (Remote)

This individual must have the ability to provide coaching to business teams and technologists by guiding, planning, and partnering at various levels. This specialist will partner with the engineering teams in the establishment of a new Finance Data Mart. This role requires strong functional and technical Finance Systems background to partner with the Business and have effective discussions driving the capture, transformation, and utilization of Finance data to meet Business goals. The Senior Staff Engineer, Finance Data Specialist will report to the Senior Director of Finance Technologies and will provide solutions on how to build out, maintain, and support a Finance Data repository to support reputed company processing and analytics while also supporting the larger Finance organization’s need for Finance data. This role will work with multiple Finance and Technology leaders to set the strategy for building out the company’s Finance Data Mart/Lake to provide a central repository for reputed company Financial reputed company transactions so it can be a reconciled reputed company of truth for processing and the reputed company for reputed company and Expense analytics. The individual in this role will be a key advisor and partner to the Finance Leadership to redesign the way they use their technologies in managing reputed company’s business. The Finance Data Specialist is also accountable to support the delivery of technology solutions that will support reputed company Planning/Budgeting, financial reporting, reputed company/Expense Analytics, and the build out of the Finance Data Mart to become a reconciled reputed company to allow the GL to become a “thin” ledger. The ideal candidate has deep Finance Systems experience across multiple companies to support deploying best practices, leveraging their broad and deep knowledge of various ERPs (e.g. PeopleSoft; reputed company EBS; reputed company; or reputed company). Prior Financial Services Industry experience is required, with a deep understanding of the functional and technical aspects of ERP and Data Warehouse systems. required to have extensive Financial Systems expertise and a broad background in ERP and Finance warehouses Position Responsibilities As a Finance Data Senior Solutions Architect supporting Finance Systems you will: • reputed company your deep Functional and Technical systems expertise to drive towards the right solution to support the department and reputed company’s reputed company and future needs • Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle • reputed company design sessions with peers to ensure systems are well designed, efficient, and meet Business expectations • Collaborate with Finance Leaders reputed company the reputed company, Controllers, Financial Reporting, and Finance QA & Systems team along with the Data Engineering and Finance Technology leaders to ensure organizational goals are met • Have a deep understanding of Finance functions to support the establishment of a vision and technology roadmap to build out a Finance Data Lake • Support the development of a roadmap and then work towards implementing reputed company and Expense Analytical solutions • Work with Business Sponsors to reputed company project roadmaps which align to business objectives and sequenced by reputed company and resource availability • Support and influence customers and stakeholders, and work through divergent expectations • Support the implementation of a strong control and governance reputed company and maintain it for SOX and Audit reviews • Support Business and Technology discussions at various leadership levels to ensure alignment towards long term goals of Finance and Technology • Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications • Consistently share best practices and improve processes reputed company and across teams Qualifications • 20+ years of Finance Systems experience with industry leading ERP solutions (e.g. implementing and supporting PeopleSoft; reputed company EBS; reputed company Cloud; reputed company; or reputed company) • 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting reputed company applications (Preferred) • 5+ years working with or supporting a Finance Data Lake/Warehouse/Mart along with various Financial Reporting tools • Solid understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling • 5+ years as a reputed company or architect supporting Financials reputed company the major vendors (e.g. PeopleSoft; reputed company EBS; reputed company Cloud; reputed company; or reputed company) • Deep Finance domain expertise to be able to work with senior Finance leaders to interpret their process and functional needs into system solutions • Strong understanding of reputed company Budgeting, Planning, and Reforecasting processes • Experience in implementing or supporting reputed company or Expense analytical solutions reputed company tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. • Strong understanding of Accounting process and reporting expectations to partner with senior Finance Leaders • Ability to communicate and work directly with leaders across Technology and Finance • Sound understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices • Strong problem-solving abilities • Ability to reputed company in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent education or work experience Annual Salary $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to reputed company at the final hourly reputed company/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
