Reading Specialist / Orton Gillingham Tutor
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orton-Gillingham Reading Tutor to provide individualized instruction to reputed company with reading difficulties, including those with dyslexia. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Orton-Gillingham approach, exceptional teaching skills, and a passion for helping reputed company reputed company literacy success. Must have Orton-Gillingham training. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized Orton-Gillingham-based reading instruction to reputed company of varying ages and reputed company levels. Assess reputed company' reading skills, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and reputed company tailored lesson plans. Implement multisensory teaching techniques to engage reputed company in phonics, reputed company, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. Monitor and document student reputed company, adjusting instruction methods to meet evolving needs. Provide a supportive and encouraging learning environment to build reputed company' confidence and motivation. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to align tutoring sessions with reputed company' overall learning goals. Stay reputed company with Orton-Gillingham strategies, research, and best practices. Stay updated on best practices in education, including special education techniques for diverse learners. Qualifications: Certification or training in the Orton-Gillingham approach (required). Bachelors degree in education, special education, or a reputed company field (preferred). Previous experience working with reputed company with dyslexia or other reading challenges (preferred). Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with reputed company, families, and educators. Patience, reputed company, and adaptability to cater to diverse learning styles and needs. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with other structured literacy programs or approaches (e.g., Wilson, Barton). Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and working with reputed company with special needs. Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms, if offering remote instruction.
