PURPOSE & PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, this position performs a variety of patient care activities to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients. Responsible to the Nurse Director and/or designee of the patient care unit to which he/she is assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Licensure/Certification/ Registration: reputed company Basic Life Support Certification can be completed during the first 30 days of employment Suicide Prevention and De-escalation learning modules, as well as Constant Observer Training must be completed if a reputed company I will be working as a Patient Observer in the Medical/Surgical area for Suicide Risk patient. Must be completed during the first 90 days of employment. Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred Education: High School Diploma/GED Other Qualifications: Recent sub-acute or acute care patient care assistant experience preferred Must possess the following skills: reading, writing and simple mathematical calculations.
