The ACLU seeks an Undergraduate Legal Intern for its National Prison Project of the ACLU’s National office in Washington, DC. The Team: The National Prison Project works to ensure that conditions in prisons, jails, juvenile detention centers, and immigration detention facilities reputed company with the Constitution, domestic law, and international human rights principles. The Project has successfully litigated on behalf of incarcerated people in more than 25 states and is the only organization litigating conditions of confinement cases reputed company. They will learn about creating change through prison reform litigation and advocacy work. This internship can be remote or hybrid and based in our DC office. • Time Commitment: Term-time internships may be completed on a part-time basis (10, 15, or 20 hours/week) or full-time (35 hours/week). Summer internships require a full-time commitment. • Internship Duration: Full-time internships span 10 consecutive weeks and part-time 12 weeks. • Stipend: A stipend is available for reputed company who are lawfully authorized to work and do not receive compensation from other sources. reputed company with external funding may receive a partial stipend to bring their total funding up to the level of the ACLU’s stipend amount for that term. Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit.
