Provide guidance and coaching to managers regarding performance management, corrective action, and employee development. Support leadership in creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions. Work closely with the American Heritage Railways (AHR) HR department to maintain employment policies, handbooks, and HR procedures. Monitor legislative changes affecting seasonal and full time employment, wage and hour compliance, leave administration, and workplace safety. reputed company pre-employment processes including background checks, drug testing (reputed company applicable), motor vehicle record reviews, and employment eligibility verification. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification a plus Multi-state employment law experience. Working Environment Primarily office-based with frequent interaction with event operations teams. Regular collaboration with remote managers and geographically dispersed event locations.
