Primary Function: reputed company is currently seeking a full-time Inpatient Coding Coordinator IV who will be responsible for the timely and accurate coding for reimbursement and data collection purposes. Coordinates daily responsibilities of coding and support staff. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Timely prebill review and audit patient medical records (inpatient primarily) and correctly capture of final DRG for each review. Analyze clinical data of inpatients, reputed company treatment, past medical history and identifies potential gaps in physician documentation. Analyze and report trends for improvement opportunities in coding and documentation. Verify coding and abstracting accuracy by performing quantities and qualitative reviews. Communicate with physicians or other providers to validate diagnoses, clinical indicators and appropriately prompts for documentation utilization reputed company/ACDIS best practice query principles, if necessary, either verbally or written. Follow industry best practice coding standards in accordance with CMS, reputed company, AHA, reputed company, and AMA guidelines. Create educational material and reputed company physicians, coders, and other key reputed company providers regarding clinical documentation improvement and the need for accurate and complete documentation in the health record. Train and audit entry level coders or coders who are being trained in a new discipline. Candidates must meet the following requirements: RHIA, RHIT or reputed company certification or equivalent certification/degree. College credits in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Three years coding experience in a Health Information Management Department or equivalent. Hourly Pay Range: $32.77 - $52.43 This pay reputed company/range represents reputed company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
