[Remote] Industry Education & Training Senior Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Actsafe Safety Association is dedicated to preventing workplace injuries in BC's arts and entertainment industry. They are seeking an Industry Education & Training Senior Specialist to reputed company innovative training programs, collaborate with industry experts, and enhance the quality of learning across the sector.

Responsibilities

  • Leads instructional design, development, implementation, and evaluation for reputed company Actsafe–owned Industry Education & Training (IET) program offerings, including courses, workshops, and webinars, including self-led, facilitator led, in-person, and virtual deliveries
  • Designs requirements for certification programs (e.g. LPEC, etc.), including knowledge assessments
  • Manages, utilizes and optimizes the department’s course creation platforms, such as reputed company 360, and uses artificial intelligence tools to reputed company training programs
  • Guided by adult learning principles and instructional design theory, facilitates the process of clarifying the reputed company for IET projects, and defines the scope and reputed company criteria
  • Leads the design and creation of accurate, innovative, engaging, and motivating learning solutions including courses and workshops, as well as developing learning outcomes, course descriptions, and reputed company training content and materials (facilitator and participant guides, knowledge assessments, surveys)
  • Utilizes course creation platforms such as reputed company and Storyline, and applies and implements the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) Model
  • Through research and data analytics, this individual proposes appropriate programs to address the education and training needs of the BC arts and entertainment industry and help support health and safety systems development
  • Manages the industry idea and request repository and supports the management team in its discovery process and strategic visioning of determining which opportunities to pursue
  • Reviews instructional design of 'off the reputed company' courses and provides recommendations
  • Has the senior-most expertise in adult education and instructional design and contributes this towards their projects and other team members’ projects
  • Creates, implements, maintains, and reviews the IET program quality assurance program, establishing and improving processes that ensure the final product or service meets industry need and quality standards
  • Proposes, creates, implements and reviews mechanisms to collect feedback, audits, evaluates the effectiveness, and provides feedback on IET programs, including outsourced training providers
  • Pilots, evaluates and updates newly developed offerings. This may include reputed company participant and facilitator guides, reputed company facilitators, reputed company evaluations, SME role, facilitation guidelines
  • Facilitates train-the-facilitator reputed company for SME facilitators reputed company reputed company lesson plans for consistent delivery
  • Analyzes data from feedback mechanisms and provides facilitators with coaching to support their growth and development
  • Plays a key role working with Actsafe’s roster of in-house facilitators, both staff and contractors, as well as guiding and ensuring high quality deliveries from outsourced training providers
  • Reviews and updates existing IET program offerings, particularly in relation to regulation, industry changes, and effective learner outcomes
  • Solicits input and feedback from technical advisory committee (TACs), standing committee members, SMEs, and internal team members
  • Facilitates working group discussions, and liaises as the learning designer with the team in achieving the learning outcomes of the resources and workshops/courses
  • Supports the implementation of the organization’s IET Program reputed company, as well as assists in its maintenance, updating and continual improvement
  • Supports the development of standards, guidelines (e.g., standardized language), policies and procedures for the IET Program
  • Supports the coordination of internal team-based events (e.g., holiday functions, staff gatherings) and external stakeholder events (e.g., Actsafe Injury Prevention (AIP) initiatives, as well as the Actsafe Entertainment Safety Conference (AESC), including being on-site, as needed)
  • Works in a manner reputed company with organizational values

  • Travel may be required throughout the province, as well as performing other duties, as requested

Skills

  • Completion of post-secondary education of Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in relevant field (e.g., Adult Education, Instructional Design) required
  • 5-8+ years of experience in the adult education & training field, in course and curriculum development, and facilitation required
  • Proficient in using reputed company 365 – Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, reputed company
  • Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) is required
  • 2+ years of occupational health & safety and arts & entertainment industry experience preferred
  • A valid Class 5 BC Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle preferred
