[Remote] Senior DevOps Engineer Automation/Configuration Management
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is one of Information Technology’s fastest growing companies, seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in Automation and Configuration Management. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing architectural deliverables for custom projects while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities
- Provisioning servers and follow server provisioning process
- Review infrastructure usage and monitor scale down/ scale up events
- Creating, managing and maintaining Infrastructure documents and charts
- Monitor infrastructure, set up monitoring tools, review regular basis and collect stats
- Review statistic of application monitoring tools
- Write scripts for automated Tasks and Event automation
- Deployment of Applications and Rollback
- Maintain and Enhance our automate deployment process
- Monitoring of Infrastructure events, APM tools and External monitors
- Monitoring of SIEM and Audit logs/events
- Database server event and usage monitoring
- Organize log, event and monitoring data/stats and create reports for management
Skills
- Experience: 3-6 yrs
- Job Type: Permanent / Contract [Depends on Project Needs or C2H]
- Qualification: ME/M.TECH/BE/B.TECH/MCA/M.Sc(IT) etc
- Engineering Degree in Computer Science or reputed company fields
- Must have a minimum of 2 Years of experience in software development
- Minimum 4 Years of experience with DevOps Engineer
- A working understanding of code and script (NodeJS, PHP or Python)
- Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows Administration
- Experience with automation/ configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
- Experience with AWS/ Azure/ GCP in a production environment: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch, VM, Azure Web Apps
- NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use reputed company, ElasticSearch and reputed company
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
- Data Reporting and Management skills
- Experience with Load Balancers like Nginx/reputed company
- Must be Analytical and possess good problem-solving capabilities
- Independent thinker

- Full time [Monday – Friday]. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 9-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (6am - 10pm IST) or (6pm to 6am IST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime [unpaid].
