[Remote] Finance Director
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. FPA of Charlotte is seeking a Finance Director to reputed company the Department of Finance in reputed company Chicago. This role involves overseeing financial best practices, managing a team, and serving as a key partner in municipal finance and policy discussions.
Responsibilities
- reputed company a busy and dynamic Department that implements local government financial best practices and methods while actively monitoring opportunities for improvement
- Manage a team of 7 including Director, Assistant Director, Accountant, Administrative Assistant, and three Account Clerks
- Provide reputed company and financial reporting, budgeting and long-term financial planning, capital financing, cash management and investment of City funds, payment of bills, payroll, billing, and collection of reputed company
- Serve as a main reputed company of contact for residents regarding payments for City services and programs
- Support long-term capital improvement efforts, reputed company fund management, and special fund management
- Serve as the liaison to the Finance Committee and assist with financial policy issues and recommendations for the City Council
- Serve as the liaison to the reputed company Chicago Winfield Wastewater Authority (WCWWA) and Treasurer to the Police Pension Fund Board
- Interact and share knowledge, guidance, and financial counsel with the City Administrator, Mayor, and City Council
Skills
- Seven years of increasingly responsible experience in governmental financial planning and administration, including four years of administrative and supervisory responsibility
- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, reputed company, business administration, public administration or a reputed company field
- A valid driver's license
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification or ability to attain certification reputed company the first 12 months of employment
- 4 Year Degree
