[Remote] Manufacturing Welding Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Chemring Energetic Devices (CED) is a company that has been building products to protect the country for 50 years and is looking to expand its team. The Manufacturing Welding Engineer will be responsible for developing and sustaining welding processes for aerospace and defense components, ensuring compliance with industry standards while supporting new product development and production objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for resolving welding and fabrication issues on the production floor
  • reputed company, qualify, optimize welding processes for New Product Development (NPD) and existing production programs
  • Partner with Design Engineering teams to ensure materials selection and joint design reputed company with industry best practices
  • Conduct multi-factor Design of Experiments (DOE) to evaluate and improve the manufacturing design and weld process
  • Create and maintain welding documentation, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), quality control standards, and detailed work instructions
  • Assist in the evaluation of weld reputed company through both destructive and non-destructive testing
  • Contribute to the training and development Operators, Inspectors, and Engineers; ensure competency is evaluated and documented
  • Evaluate failure analysis and technical outcomes of non-conforming hardware
  • Work with internal and customer teams to provide resolutions
  • Support the development and sustainment of a total productive maintenance (TPM) plan, assuring reputed company aspects of the equipment and process meet performance, quality, and reliability objectives
  • Participate and facilitate PHAs (process hazard analysis) and JHA (job hazard analysis) teams

  • Ensure 100% compliance with the Chemring Operational reputed company, BACM, Code of Conduct and U.S. Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a reputed company technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding process development or applications engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience with advanced welding technologies, weld monitoring, and weld analysis principles
  • Lawful US Person (ITAR restrictions)
  • Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by reputed company of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for reputed company of Chemring Energetic Devices
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various stakeholders such as managers, clients, customers and the public
  • Ability to work reputed company an agile and milestone driven culture and be capable of working with peers on a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with leadership and operating independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple schedules simultaneously
