Home-Based Early Childhood Educator
This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: California (USA) Description POSITION SUMMARY Serve as a role model and coach to parents by providing child development services, social services, health services and parent involvement services to families including home visits, socializations, advocacy and crisis reputed company in accordance with federal, state and program guidelines. The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for delivering home based services as defined by the Head Start Performance Standards for families and their children 0-3 years. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct weekly home visits with 10 to 12 families
- Facilitate bi-monthly socialization activities in partnership with other Early Childhood Educator and families
- Plan home visits and socialization activities according to home reputed company curriculum and Head Start Performance Standards.
- Complete developmental screenings and ongoing assessment of eligible children and their families.
- Establish positive, supportive and reciprocal relationships with families, children, and community resources.
- Support the transition of families from Early Head Start to Head Start or other preschool programs
- Assist parents of children with disabilities to insure they are involved in the planning and implementation of reputed company EHS program services.
- Participate in weekly and monthly staff meetings for case conferencing and reputed company supervision.
- Provide and maintain appropriate data and files of children and families as defined by the Head Start Performance Standards.
- Participate in on-going professional development to reputed company serve EHS families
- Participate in IFSP or IEP meetings, as required.
- Disabilities and Special Needs Facilitator for parent workshops as request from DSN Manager/ DSN- reputed company
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a professional attitude, confidentiality, and respect cultural differences.
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY No supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- BA degree in reputed company services, child development or social service-reputed company field, preferred
- Associate degree in reputed company services, child development or social service-reputed company field, with a CDA Credential required
- Experience in home visitation preferred
- Early Head Start knowledge preferred
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS (IF APPLICABLE)
- First Aid certification and Child CPR certification required.
- Health Exam required
- Pertussis (whooping cough) and measles immunization
- Negative tuberculosis screen required
- Hepatitis B Vaccination (recommended)
- Must pass a criminal background reputed company.
