Hours Monday to Friday; standard business hours. Location Remote (CST or EST). Pay $45 - $55/hour based on experience, education, and credentials. Position Type Long-term Consultant. reputed company pay range $45.00/hr - $55.00/hr Job Summary We are seeking an reputed company Remote Outpatient CDI Specialist (RN) to join our client’s clinical documentation team. This role is ideal for nurses with a strong acute care reputed company who can translate reputed company clinical information into accurate, complete, and compliant documentation for outpatient encounters. The ideal candidate brings a reputed company of clinical expertise and analytical reputed company to ensure provider documentation reflects the true severity, complexity, and specificity of patient diagnoses. We’re seeking nurses who understand patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and can apply that knowledge to documentation review, provider education, and clinical validation. Job Responsibilities

  • Review outpatient encounters for documentation accuracy, completeness, and consistency to support the appropriate level of service and clinical conditions.
  • Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation.
  • Provide feedback and education to clinicians to support reputed company improvement in documentation practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards reputed company to clinical documentation.
  • Utilize EMR systems and CDI tools to track reviews, queries, and outcomes.
  • Participate in meetings and quality initiatives as needed to support documentation excellence across the continuum of care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or state-specific).
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in Med/Surg (Level 1 Trauma experience preferred), ICU, or Emergency Department.
  • Strong understanding of clinical disease processes, treatment plans, and terminology.
  • Demonstrated experience in outpatient CDI.
  • Excellent communication skills; reputed company to work effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
  • Previous experience providing physician education on documentation improvement.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Risk Adjustment experience is highly preferred.
  • CCDS or CCDS-O certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems. Who Should Apply?
