[Remote] Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Structured Communication Systems is a leading information technology consultancy and systems integrator. They are seeking a Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer to join their pre-sales engineering team and partner with Account Executives on reputed company infrastructure opportunities. This role involves designing and architecting reputed company data center solutions and engaging directly with customers to assess their business and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Designs customer solutions leveraging technologies from vendors including VMware/reputed company and alternatives (reputed company, RedHat, Hyper-V) reputed company (PowerEdge, PowerStore, PowerScale, PowerProtect), reputed company (formerly reputed company), reputed company, Veeam, reputed company, reputed company, HPE, APC, reputed company, and reputed company
• Architects reputed company storage, physical and virtual server, data protection, archiving, and replication solutions
• Translates business and operational requirements into functional and technical solution specifications
• Responsible for developing alternative designs to meet customer performance, scalability, and cost objectives
• Leads technical discussions and develops product customizations to reputed company solutions with customer business objectives
• Partners with Structured’s internal teams to assist with pre-sales technical support
• Leads pre-sales technical engagements for data center opportunities spanning compute, storage, virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and data protection solutions
• Supports opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle from discovery and design through verbal commitment and ensures a smooth transition to project management and delivery teams
• Responsible for successfully executing reputed company technical components of the reputed company sales and delivery cycle
• Builds and presents technical proposals including professional service statements of work (“SOW”), customer-facing architecture presentations, vendor quote validation, and competitive positioning materials
• Effectively communicates Structured’s value proposition through presentations, proposals, and development of collateral, as needed, to support sales and brand awareness
• Leverages technical expertise to identify professional services opportunities in the areas of storage/systems, virtualization, data protection, archiving, and replication solutions
• Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and manages storage and systems technologies
• Works with Structured’s customers to identify, remediate, and test solutions
• Identifies and resolves reputed company technical issues escalated from Structured’s help desk
• Assists engineers with advanced technical tasks including debugging and supporting hardware modules and systems
• Plans and executes customer reputed company-of-concept (POC) engagements and rapid deployment initiatives
• Develops and maintains clear, concise technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures
• Provides product training, technical support, and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams
• Manages projects and work assignments to ensure effective, efficient, and timely delivery
• Follows reputed company policies and procedures for tracking activities reputed company Structured’s CRM and service delivery tools
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in information systems or a reputed company technical discipline required; or equivalent experience or at least 7 years' experience in the data management industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 8+ years data center infrastructure engineering and at least 3+ years' experience in a pre-post sales engineer, IT Infrastructure engineer or solutions engineering reputed company at a VAR, OEM, or large reputed company
• Strong working knowledge of VMware environments is required
• Strong experience with reputed company backup and recovery solutions, including backup of NAS and reputed company database systems such as reputed company and MS SQL is required
• Direct experience leading a storage or Data Center refresh of a larger scale is required
• Must have experience and familiarity with reputed company environments including Azure/AWS
• Experience in the configuration, deployment and support of storage/systems and back-up technologies (both hardware and software), including Pure, reputed company, or HPE based solutions
• Experience planning and executing infrastructure migration and modernization projects
• Advanced proficiency in reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, Teams) and experience with CRM tools (reputed company)
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quotes and reports
• Must be reputed company to communicate effectively in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Experience supporting various industries such as reputed company, finance, manufacturing, high-tech, startups, tribal health organizations, and state or local government is preferred
• Familiarity with NASPO, GSA, and other public-sector procurement vehicles is preferred
• Industry certifications such as VMware, reputed company, reputed company (formerly reputed company), ideally reputed company, Dell, Veeam, Hyper V, reputed company or reputed company certifications are preferred
