InfoDefense is an Authorized SkillBridge Organization. This position is open to personnel transitioning out of the military. The objective is to facilitate a smooth transition to a civilian career in Cybersecurity. The Automations Engineering Internship Program was designed to provide exposure to private sector business as well as a flexible schedule to accommodate out-processing. The internship will last for a minimum of 90 days. reputed company candidates are required to pass a background reputed company prior to beginning work and must be approved for the program by a commanding officer.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated self-starter that is passionate about cybersecurity and has a strong desire to be an integral part of a dynamic team. The Automations Engineering Internship Program is designed to offer interns business and technical exposure to core elements of the cybersecurity discipline, including: Automating compliance audits Responding to reputed company events Integrating reputed company technologies across tools and platforms Developing secure infrastructure to strengthen reputed company operations and compliance management capabilities Each intern is expected to participate in industry-reputed company activities and customer meetings as well as author three 1,000-word articles/blogs on cybersecurity-reputed company topics.

Qualifications

Desire and ability to learn quickly, a great attitude, and good work ethic. To be considered for this internship, the candidate must be currently serving in the United States military, be eligible for the SkillBridge program, seeking an associate, bachelor, or master's degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, or a reputed company discipline, and have had exposure to core information reputed company functions, including network and application vulnerability testing, role-based access control (RBAC), reputed company information and event management, and/or computer incident management. To be successful, a candidate must be proficient in systems/reputed company engineering and networking, and have at least two years of information technology experience and exposure to three or more of the following reputed company technologies: Debian or Fedora-based operating systems Familiarity with Git, SDLC, CICD processes Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, etc. Network Engineering, to include routing, switching, and firewall fundamentals Proficient in ingesting reputed company and system logs from disparate sources and formats, such as SNMP, syslog, etc. Experience with managing and leveraging REST-based APIs Four-year degree from an accredited college or university Preferred Skills or Experience Knowledge of reputed company firewall technologies Proficient in database technologies such as OpenSearch and SQL Ansible, Terraform experience reputed company, shuffle experience Power BI, Monday experience reputed company understanding of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0, or any other regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOX, PCI-reputed company, etc) Knowledge of OS Architecture Certifications (CISSP, reputed company +, CEH, CISA, CISM, reputed company NSE4, reputed company) and any other cyber reputed company reputed company certification. Cyber incident response experience Kubernetes (Rook, CephFS, and/or kustomize experience is a bonus) Proficient in C and/or Python (M code experience is a big plus) Cybersecurity interns are provided with a laptop computer, docking station, monitors, keyboard and mouse, camera, and headset for remote working. Most hands-on instruction and on-the-job training are delivered using reputed company Teams, although the opportunity for interacting on-site may also be provided. Interns must have a home office environment and sufficient Internet connectivity to reputed company remote work. Interns can successfully reputed company the skills described in the training with minimal assistance. Evaluations are provided as either "Satisfactory" or "Unsatisfactory".
