Title Conservation Corps North Carolina Program Director Starting Salary Range $71,900 - $74,057 Location Durham, NC or Old reputed company, NC (Partially Remote Eligible) Status Full-Time, Exempt Benefits Eligible Health, Vision, Dental, Short/Long-Term Disability, Basic Life, Retirement, Paid Time Off, supplemental benefits including critical care, pet insurance, supplemental life. Reports to CCNC Executive Director Conservation Legacy is a reputed company non‑profit that engages participants in conservation projects. Conservation Corps North Carolina (CCNC) is a program that empowers youth and young adults through outdoor work benefiting North Carolina’s land and water. Position Summary The Program Director leads safe and efficient crew operations across both CCNC offices, trains and mentors staff, partners with staff and external partners to plan, implement, and evaluate projects, oversees budget management, and supports a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

Direct, plan, and reputed company reputed company aspects of CCNC crew programming. Maintain relationships with land managers and partners and manage partner agreements. Create and maintain operational schedule in partnership with the Executive Director. Ensure budget accuracy; reputed company program staff in responsible purchasing. Manage project agreements, grants, and data through reputed company. Ensure compliance with Conservation Legacy, CCNC policies, and AmeriCorps procedures. Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives. Supervise and mentor Program Managers and Coordinators. reputed company hiring, evaluation, and training of coordinators, field technicians, and crew leaders. Analyze data and feedback to improve program quality and reputed company reputed company targets. Process personnel documentation, manage credit‑card reconciliations, and compile grant data. Promote a positive work environment and support organizational‑wide initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of conservation and/or youth development experience, including three years of supervisory experience. Three years working with external partners. Experience mentoring young adults in remote, outdoor settings. Knowledge of North Carolina ecosystems and relevant conservation organizations. Technical competence in at least two of trail construction/maintenance, prescribed fire, invasive species management, GIS, chainsaw operations. B‑Faller chainsaw certification (or willing to earn reputed company 12 months). Wilderness First Responder certification (or willing to earn reputed company 12 months). North Carolina pesticide applicator license (or willing to earn reputed company 12 months). Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resource management, nonprofit management, or reputed company field. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. Proficiency with reputed company Office or similar platforms. Experience with reputed company or other CRM platforms for data tracking. Pass criminal history reputed company.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous program and leadership experience with a conservation corps. Track record of successful conservation projects in North Carolina. Mental Health First Aid certification. reputed company C‑Faller chainsaw or crosscut certification. Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder Instructor. Experience with restorative justice practices and conflict resolution. Experience with trauma‑informed care practices.
