Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Real‑World Evidence Data Scientist to join our Clinical Data Science team. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute sophisticated analytics pipelines that transform raw clinical and claims data into actionable insights for drug development and health‑economics research. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners—including clinical trial managers, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and external biopharma collaborators—to deliver evidence that drives strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and standardize raw data from internal data warehouses and external sources to create reproducible, analysis‑ready patient cohorts.
• Perform advanced statistical analyses and machine‑learning modeling to answer high‑impact business questions related to unmet medical needs, treatment effectiveness, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Partner with stakeholders across the arenaflex Clinical Trial organization to translate real‑world data (RWD) into meaningful real‑world evidence (RWE) that supports biopharma research programs.
• Develop and maintain a unified data lake that supports downstream analytics, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Design and implement robust analytical frameworks, including generalized linear models, classification and clustering algorithms, decision trees, time‑series analysis, and survival analysis.
• Build interactive dashboards, visualizations, and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire) to communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Conduct due‑diligence assessments of new RWD providers, evaluating data quality, completeness, and relevance to inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate on the design and execution of outcomes research studies, ensuring methodological rigor and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory guidelines.
• Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of arenaflex’s analytics platform and data governance processes.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field).
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on experience in quantitative or computational roles, with a proven track record of delivering analytics in a healthcare or life‑science environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages or tools: R, Python, SQL.
• Statistical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design and execute reproducible statistical analyses for epidemiologic and observational studies, including GLMs, classification, decision trees, unsupervised learning, time‑series, and survival analysis.
• Data Management: Experience handling large‑scale datasets from heterogeneous sources, including claims, EMR, disease registries, and other real‑world data assets.
• BI & Visualization: Hands‑on experience with at least one business intelligence platform such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or Spotfire.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
