Join arenaflex and Bring Your Heart to Specialty Pharmacy Care

At arenaflex, we believe that every interaction has the power to transform a moment of uncertainty into one of confidence, comfort, and care. We are reimagining the future of healthcare support by combining human compassion with operational excellence, and we are looking for dedicated professionals who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of patients every single day. If you have a passion for helping others, an instinct for solving complex problems, and a desire to work from the comfort of your Nevada home while being part of something bigger, arenaflex invites you to bring your unique talents to our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team.

Specialty pharmacy is one of the most meaningful corners of the healthcare industry. The patients we serve are often managing complex, chronic, or life-altering conditions, and the medications they depend on are not ordinary prescriptions. They are therapies that require careful coordination, precise processing, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy. As a Pharmacy Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be at the very center of this work, acting as the trusted voice on the other end of the phone for patients who need clarity, reassurance, and a partner in navigating their treatment journey. This is more than a customer service role. It is a calling for those who care deeply about people and want their work to matter.

Position Summary

We are currently hiring a Remote Pharmacy Customer Care Specialist to support our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy operations. This is a fully remote work-from-home opportunity, open to candidates who reside in the state of Nevada and within a 75-mile radius of our Specialty location at 7251 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119. This geographic proximity allows us to maintain strong team connections, occasional on-site collaboration, and a sense of community even while working remotely.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys detailed work, and possesses exceptional communication skills. You will spend your days on the phone with patients, insurance representatives, healthcare providers, and internal partners, ensuring that every specialty medication order is processed accurately, authorized appropriately, and fulfilled in a timely manner. If you are someone who lights up when solving puzzles, who finds satisfaction in resolving complex challenges, and who understands the impact of compassionate customer service, we want to meet you.

Training and Schedule Information

To set you up for success, arenaflex provides a comprehensive four-week paid training program. Please note that there is a PTO blackout period during training, as attendance and engagement are essential during this time. Training takes place Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Standard Time. Once training is complete, your regular schedule will shift to 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Pharmacy Customer Care Specialist at arenaflex, you will take ownership of a wide range of responsibilities that keep our specialty pharmacy operations running smoothly and our patients well cared for. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Patient Communication and Support: Serving as the primary point of contact for patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, answering inbound calls with empathy, professionalism, and patience, and providing clear, accurate information about medications, orders, and processes.
  • Order Coordination and Processing: Managing the end-to-end coordination of new patient medication orders and refills, including verifying and re-verifying patient benefits, translating prescription information, and accurately entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system.
  • Insurance Verification and Authorization: Working closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to verify coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and resolve any issues that may delay or prevent order fulfillment.
  • Financial Coordination: Communicating copay amounts to patients, collecting payments as needed, and ensuring that financial expectations are clearly understood and met prior to medication fulfillment.
  • Issue Identification and Resolution: Screening, identifying, resolving, and when necessary, deferring orders that present accounts receivable or clinical challenges, escalating complex cases to the appropriate teams for further review.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with pharmacists, technicians, clinical staff, and other internal teams to ensure that every patient receives seamless, coordinated care and that no detail is overlooked.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining accurate, detailed records of all patient interactions, order statuses, and resolutions in accordance with arenaflex policies, HIPAA regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve patient experiences, and contribute to a culture of excellence within the specialty pharmacy team.

Required Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must bring the following experience and skills:

  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of one year of experience working in a customer service role where you successfully handled and resolved a high volume of complex customer needs, ideally over the phone.
  • Technical Proficiency: At least one year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office suite, internet navigation, and email platforms.
  • Keyboard Skills: A minimum of one year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude for accurate, efficient data entry.
  • Education: A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Residency: Candidates must reside in the state of Nevada and within 75 miles of 7251 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out as a candidate:

  • Prior work experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in pharmacy, insurance, benefits coordination, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with health insurance benefits, prescription processing, medical terminology, and specialty medication workflows.
  • Experience working with pharmacy information systems or other healthcare-related software platforms.
  • A demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain composure in a high-volume environment.

Skills and Competencies for Success

At arenaflex, we know that great customer service representatives are made, not born. Beyond the technical requirements, we look for individuals who embody the following competencies:

  • Problem-Solving Acumen: A natural curiosity and determination to dig into challenges, identify root causes, and find effective solutions for patients and partners.

  • Resilience and Adaptability: The capacity to remain calm, focused, and positive when handling difficult conversations or navigating unexpected obstacles.
  • Team-Oriented Mindset: A collaborative spirit that values partnership, open communication, and shared success.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Integrity and Confidentiality: A deep commitment to protecting patient privacy, handling sensitive information responsibly, and upholding the highest ethical standards.
