Whether you are a seasoned professional or just starting your career, you will find a supportive community that values your unique perspective and encourages you to grow.

Position Overview

The Remote Customer Service Representative role is a pivotal front‑line position within arenaflex’s Ticket to Work Help Line. You will serve as the primary point of contact for callers seeking information about the Ticket to Work Program, related benefits, and resources. This role blends empathetic communication, precise data entry, and a solid understanding of federal assistance programs to ensure each interaction is both helpful and compliant with privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, accurate information about the Ticket to Work Program and associated benefits to callers.
  • Respond to general inquiries, including questions about eligibility, program status, and next steps.
  • Identify and refer eligible beneficiaries to appropriate Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners using the National WIPA Database.
  • Process opt‑out requests promptly, ensuring beneficiaries are removed from further communications when requested.
  • Document detailed case notes for each interaction, capturing county of residence, ticket assignment status, and any special concerns.
  • Differentiate between calls related to employment, rehabilitation, or other support services, directing callers to the correct internal or external resources.
  • Provide referrals to community resources such as subsidized housing, SNAP, food banks, energy assistance, Medicaid, and other benefit programs.
  • Utilize arenaflex’s CRM system to log interactions, update beneficiary records, and track referral outcomes.
  • During call lull periods, assist with payment processing, data validation, and special projects that enhance program efficiency.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and other privacy regulations while handling sensitive personal information.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum six (6) months of proven customer service experience, preferably in a call‑center or remote environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high‑volume inbound and outbound calls with professionalism, even in stressful or abusive situations.
  • Basic knowledge of federal assistance programs (e.g., Ticket to Work, SNAP, Medicaid) and a willingness to learn more.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
  • Proficiency with standard office software; familiarity with CRM or case‑management platforms is advantageous.
  • Typing speed of at least 20 words per minute (WPM); 30 WPM preferred.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA privacy standards.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience working with individuals who have hearing, speech, or visual impairments, as well as other physical disabilities.
  • Previous exposure to government‑run employment or rehabilitation programs.
  • Advanced typing speed (30 WPM or higher) and strong data‑entry accuracy.
  • Ability to navigate multiple software applications simultaneously while maintaining call quality.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to think on your feet during unexpected call scenarios.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when interacting with diverse populations.
  • Self‑motivation and discipline to thrive in a remote work setting with minimal supervision.

Technical Requirements & Home Office Setup

  • Broadband internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 5 Mbps; satellite connections are not permitted.
  • Dedicated Ethernet cable connection; Wi‑Fi‑only setups are prohibited to ensure stable call quality.
  • Quiet, private workspace free from background noise and distractions.
  • Computer (provided by arenaflex) and a high‑quality audio headset; equipment must be collected from a designated location.
  • Ability to run a speed test (e.g., speed.cloudflare.com) prior to application to verify compliance with bandwidth requirements.
  • Optional: Dual monitors for increased productivity, though not required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While the role is performed remotely, employees must be able to sit for extended periods, stand or walk briefly when needed, and lift up to 10 pounds (e.g., equipment boxes). Visual acuity for close and distance focus, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus quickly are required. Regular communication via phone and computer will involve speaking, listening, and typing throughout each shift.

Compensation, Benefits & Professional Development

arenaflex offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.20 plus a supplemental health and wellness stipend of $4.57 per hour. Full‑time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement plan eligibility with employer matching.
  • Access to ancillary benefits that support physical, financial, and professional well‑being.
