Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Legal Expert for a contract position. The role involves reviewing and analyzing commercial contracts, providing expert input on employment law and mergers and acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and redline commercial contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and business objectives
- Provide expert input on matters relating to employment law, structured finance, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions
- Evaluate and advise on SaaS Master Service Agreements (MSAs) to identify areas of risk and recommend improvements
- Interpret complex regulatory requirements and shape guidelines for compliance within evolving legal landscapes
- Assess data privacy policies and practices in accordance with international standards and regulations
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to clarify legal concepts and deliver clear, actionable written feedback
Skills
- Have an active Bar membership and be in good standing
- Have a minimum of experience practicing law, with a demonstrable track record in commercial contracts, employment law, and structured finance
- Possess deep knowledge of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrate proficiency in contract redlining and negotiation, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Have hands-on experience reviewing and advising on SaaS MSAs and data privacy matters
- Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts for diverse audiences
