[Remote] Legal Document Reviewer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rapid Finance is the nation's leading provider of alternative financing solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. They are seeking a Legal Document Reviewer who will be responsible for reviewing legal documents, ensuring accuracy, and assisting the litigation team with various tasks to maintain professionalism in written production.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing court filings drafted by our litigation team for errors and ensuring that these documents are properly prepared for filing
- Analyzing case dockets to determine whether the correct course of action is being taken by members of the litigation team
- Reviewing drafted settlement agreements to ensure that they satisfy all requested settlement terms
- Assisting the Senior Paralegal with managing the flow of documents to be reviewed and filed, and responding to high-priority items with a sense of urgency
- Aiding in the development of Legal Assistants by identifying any repeated mistakes and room for growth in their work and providing them with constructive feedback
Skills
- Must be a licensed attorney in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably Maryland
- Immaculate attention to detail and precision in your written communication
- Working knowledge of or are capable of quickly learning how to use MS Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as office equipment such as a scanner, fax, and copy machine
- You are comfortable taking direction from others and working in a team environment
- Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrate the ability to weigh multiple factors in order to find the best way to solve a problem
- You are flexible and adaptable to diverse cultures
- You have a proven ability to plan and organize effectively, identify and correct errors, capture all of the relevant details, and get things done on time
- You are able to develop and manage relationships, including effectively presenting information to and responding to inquiries and requests from all internal and external stakeholders
- You succeed in dynamic environments that require balancing competing priorities, meeting critical deadlines and adapting to change
