[Remote] Finance Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Uproot Clean is a fast-growing consumer brand dedicated to pet owners, focusing on ecommerce and retail. They are seeking a Finance Manager to manage accounting processes, improve reporting efficiency, and support operational decision-making as the company scales.
Responsibilities
- Own the full accounting cycle, including month-end close
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across financial records
- Reduce month-end close timeline from 5 days to 3 days
- Identify inefficiencies and improve accounting workflows
- Build scalable processes and documentation
- Manage and oversee the bookkeeping team and AP clerk
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work
- Manage and apply landed costs across products
- Ensure accurate cost tracking and margin visibility
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making
- Work closely with the VP of Operations on performance tracking
Skills
- 1+ year of experience in ecommerce or DTC
- Experience managing full accounting cycle and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organization
