Ingersoll Rand is an equal opportunity employer seeking an experienced Paper Machine Project Engineer to lead complex projects across the USA and Canada. The role involves end-to-end project execution, working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-performance technical solutions that meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead paper machine projects from contract handover through final acceptance
  • Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, and budgets
  • Coordinate in-house and outsourced engineering teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Identify, analyze, and proactively mitigate technical and commercial project risks
  • Monitor project execution to ensure excellence in:
  • Technical solutions
  • Cost control
  • Resource efficiency
  • Health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, and KPI tracking
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Apply and continuously improve project management processes and best practices
  • Versatile to sell multiple vacuum brands within Gardner Denver/Nash portfolio

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Paper Science or related paper machine experience
  • 5+ years of experience in paper machine project management or related roles
  • Proven background in troubleshooting and executing paper machine projects
  • Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working across cultures and managing change
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within defined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Versatile to sell multiple vacuum brands within Gardner Denver/Nash portfolio
  • Remote-based position, preferably located near a major airport
  • Ability to travel by air and ground and work effectively across multiple regions
