Position Overview

We are seeking motivated, empathetic, and detail‑oriented individuals who reside in Florida (within a 75‑mile radius of our Orlando specialty hub at 9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando, FL 32819) to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team as Remote Customer Service Representatives. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for patients receiving specialty drug therapy, guiding them through the ordering process, verifying benefits, and ensuring seamless communication with insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, knowledgeable telephone support to patients initiating or refilling specialty medication orders.
  • Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and insurance coverage; resolve any discrepancies before order fulfillment.
  • Enter new prescriptions and refill requests accurately into the pharmacy information system.
  • Collect and process copay amounts, ensuring patients understand their financial responsibilities.
  • Obtain prior authorizations, coordinate with prescribers, and liaise with insurance companies to secure approvals.
  • Identify, screen, and resolve clinical or accounts‑receivable issues that could delay medication delivery.
  • Document all patient interactions, actions taken, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with internal pharmacy, clinical, and finance teams to expedite order processing while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of specialty drug therapies, insurance policies, and medical terminology to provide accurate information.
  • Participate in ongoing training, virtual job tryouts, and performance feedback sessions to continuously improve service delivery.

Work Schedule Options (Florida)

  • 11:30 am – 8:00 pm EST
  • 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm EST

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service role, handling complex inquiries via telephone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email platforms.
  • Demonstrated computer keyboarding skills with a strong aptitude for data entry and accuracy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; additional certifications or coursework in health‑care administration is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Previous experience in a health‑care setting, particularly within pharmacy, benefits coordination, or insurance verification.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, prescription processing, and specialty drug handling.
  • Experience using pharmacy management systems or electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a track record of proactively identifying and resolving issues.
